What i'm busy with recently???
a right school for meimei Neo!
Supposingly~~ meimei will join jiejie at Cherie Hearts @ Gombak.
BUT because i didn't reserve a place....
so ya lah, i'm not a early bird so no worms eat sob sob!
only had a place next year January =(
And because for the fact meimei Neo is 2 yrs plus now~
Hus and i decide to let her adapt to a temporary school for this few months of 2011 before switching her over to CH @ Gombak.
The number of schools i visited!
Kiasu much? LOL
Brought meimei to all the school...
and to revise the school i've visited, decided to do a review post on it =)
*it's gonna be a naggy post*
The first few branches that i went was definitely Cherie Hearts.
Was thinking if i could find another suitable branch in the west,
transferring Charlene over to @ Gombak would be easier under the same school too.
don't have to make x2 purchases like school uniforms, mattress etc.

Visited most of the branches in the West~
@ Eng Kong
Pros: Teachers, branch director, principal are all vvvvvv nice people! Especially the branch director.. a very sincere man. Shown me around and telling me their curriculum in detailed. Have like 3 outdoor areas. 2 small ones though.. And director even offered free bus transport for meimei if were to enrol her in.
Cons: Children have to climb 2 flight of stairs. Feel a little unsafe although the branch director have this super-guarantee-look that it's safe. Classroom area kinda squeezy and small for the PGs. Toilet only has 1 cubicle (i was expecting a big and spacious toilet)
@ Corporation Road
Pros: Very big and spacious centre. Only met the director.. pretty nice lady. Loves their outdoor playground/area! Classroom for PG is big too. Toilet very big, spacious and safe.
Cons: BUT... no bus transport to my area -.-
@ Cashew Terrace
Pros: The teacher who i spoke to is nice.
Cons: Very small, squeezy, don't feel safe, environment quite "old" too. And the number of students for Charlene's batch has only 3 students.
@ West Coast Rise
Pros: The lady that show me around i forgot is the director or principal.. but is very nice and detailed etc. Centre/classrooms is clean and quite spacious.
Cons: Children have to climb flight of stairs again... unsafe! Outdoor playground very small. Quite "old" centre.
@ Galistan Ave
Pros: Very very big and it's also a new centre.. total of 2 terraces attached. Clean. Loves their outdoor playground/area. Looks very fun!
Cons: The lady who brought me around wasn't very detailed at all. Like very "get-it-done-and-over-with". Super dislike~ Again, children have to climb flight of stairs *OUT~ unsafe!*
Above are the few branches of Cherie Hearts that i've been to. Actually there's 1 more i wanted to go... the one @ Chevrons. But the lady who spoke to me on the phone turns me off big time -.- So decided not to visit the centre.
Overall, i feel the best Cherie Hearts in the west is still @ Gombak! The one Phoebe's attending. Next year, next year, next year~~
Also went to other schools for a visit too
Fresh visits, fresh curriculum!

Mulberry
Went to 2 locations, CCK and Acer IBP
CCK Branch: Big and clean centre. Toilet very big, safe too. Teachers and principal are really nice ladies! The principal who brought me around spoke to me in details about their curriculum, classes and such. They have swimming courses for their enrichment classes. Even have this small stage over at their assembly area. Overall, don't feel any cons about the place. Except their dining area is in the classroom which i realise most of the centres i visited works like this.
Acer IBP Branch: VERY SPACIOUS!!! Neat, clean and fun! Loves the curriculum maximum! They have this dancing course (hip hop, jazz etc.) for the kids which is INCLUDED inside the curriculum. The principal is also a vvvvv nice lady! The way she explain their curriculum is just so confident and professional. Will let me know what can i expect if my girl were to enroll in Mulberry and stuffs. No outdoor area but indoor playground spells FUN!

MindChamps
@ JTC Summit: 1 word, PERFECT. Environment's great, teacher/principal are all very professional, the curriculum is just perfect! Just the perfect school.... but super expensive =( $1.1k monthly after subsidy! *forget it... lol*

visited 2 branches of Kinderland, @ CCK and @ Pandan Valley
CCK Branch: First step in my impression was pretty tense up. Not sure why... maybe because the principal was rather fierce? (back to school feel) LOL. Anyway~ the environment i must say is perfect. Classes are all very big and spacious for each level. Dining area of their own.. No outdoor area though but they are tied up with Crestar. Which also means their enrichment courses has ballet! BUT sad case... no place till next year -.- And also i was rather shock they have this "TV time" in their curriculum.
Pandan Valley: Big centre. Outdoor area looks fun too. Have piano lesson included in their curriculum. But the lady who brought me around (i don't know is the teacher or principal~) is turn off maximum!!!!! Can you imagine? Ok not trying to be mean. But her hair is rather short and when she bring me and meimei around she kept TWISTING AND TWISTING her hair like one little girl! Like over-hiao leh!!! Gross -.-

Agape Little Uni, only visited the branch at Choa Chu Kang.
@ CCK: A teacher who brought me around. Very nice and detailed. Explains very professionally about the centre, curriculum and such. Centre is very clean and pretty spacious too. Ok, the kids are also really cute and nice! There's this little boy who came and talk to meimei like making friends with her. HAHA! Sorry off topic~ Sadly... no bus transport to my area.

Innate Montessori: Quite old-looking and also "ulu" school. Another centre gives me that tense-up-feeling when i spoke to the principal. Actually don't have much comments about the centre. Just feel like that lor... normal lor LOL won't very wow lah. The only wow factor is that they have a swimming pool of their own. Which also means, they provides swimming courses as 1 of their enrichment lessons.

Carpe Diem
@ Bukit Batok Blk 318: Was never in my list... but because i happen to pass-by (furthermore it's near my place) so i decided to walk-in for a visit. Spoke to the principal... nice lady. Curriculum wise normal. Environment pretty spacious. Have this gym area look quite fun too.. And it's the only centre that meimei don't bear to leave!
went to the one at Bukit Batok blk 501
BB: Multi-racial centre. Environment spacious. Void-deck centre. Quite noisy when the lessons are taking place differently. Have special enrichment lessons like Akido. Curriculum have this pretty fun gym thing that the in-charge kept emphasis about. Teachers are very nice and friendly btw. The in-charge too.. explains everything in details and stuffs.
Godsister told me to visit Sparkletots @ Bukit Batok Blk 118 as her son, my godnephew, will be attending there on 1st August onwards. Plus the teachers there are godma's friends. Furthermore~~~ it used to be my nursery! Godma told me that the teacher who taught me is still teaching over at the centre! *woah* BUT no luck didn't get to visit or spoke to anyone as i did not make an appointment. Thinking to walk-in visit but principal is having a meeting that cannot be interrupted. Environment wise, from outside though, it's pretty spacious and fun-looking.
Overall my trips to other schools was quite a waste of effort lah. Likes the Mulberry @ Acer IBP branch and also Sparkletots. But hus said would be better if meimei were to enroll to a CH branch. Save $$ over the mattress/uniforms etc. plus would be easier when meimei switching to CH @ Gombak.
Anyway, i don't feel it's a waste of time.
would describe it as an experience...
have better understandings on how different centres' curriculum etc. works too
Visits to CH @ IBP tomorrow *cross fingers*
